A faux grocery store selling items the way beauty sells to you.
Visitors browsed amongst items like the “All-Natural Magical Energy-Boosting Bar” (aka a banana) for $175.90 or the “100% Natural Glow-Enhancing Vitality Orb” (aka an avocado) for $305.90 while they navigated a series of educational touch points about how the beauty industry marks up simple ingredients.
This store was one of six locations going live across Paris, Mexico City, Melbourne, and more as part of Uncommon Creative Studio’s global campaign for The Ordinary.
The Toronto store saw upwards of 1,400 visitors over the course of two days.
The campaign also received global press interest with coverage from LLB, Ad Age, and was named by HypeBae as one of the “Most Unforgettable Pop-ups of All Time”. The campaign resulted in 59 pieces of coverage and over 30M viewers reached.
